AMIGANTT Version 4.00.00
Bug Fixes and Enhancements
Version 4.00.00 of AmiGantt represents the fourth major release of the program
and inlcudes many new features. AmiGantt is intended as a simple project
management tool for the Amiga, based on the Gantt Chart as the primary input.
The major bug fixes and enhancements included in this version are:
1. The file format of AmiGantt projects has changed with this version.
Version 4.00.00 can load and read version 3.00.00 and above project
files. When you Save the file, it will be automatically converted
to version 4.00.00 format.
2. The Pert Chart now uses the Helvetica 9 font, which is provided on
the standard WorkBench 1.3, rather than the special Gantt 6 font
provided in earlier releases. It makes the printouts look better.
3. Resource information now includes 'percentage use' to define how
much of a person's total time is dedicated to this task. The
Resource Histogram display and costing reports will use this
percentage to adjust the total committment of the person.
4. AmiGantt now opens its own 8 colour screen which makes it easier to
drag all the windows away at once and permits more extensive use of
colour on the Gantt and Resource charts. The colours may be
adjusted from the Modify Colours option of the MISC menu. Changes
in colour are automatically saved with each project.
5. AmiGantt 4.00.00 has two AREXX interfaces:
a) An input port which allows the user to run certain
functions of AmiGantt from an ARexx macro; and
b) An output port from which ARexx commands attached to any
Task can be executed to run other ARexx-compatible
programs such as editors, IFF file displays, and spread-
sheets.
6. AmiGantt 4.00.00 now recognizes when actual changes have been made
to a project and presents the "Are you sure..." requestor only if
there is a danger of losing the changes.
7. A number of problems with the display and printout of Monthly Gantt
charts have been corrected. These were manifested by either all
the bars being stacked against the left side of the chart, or the
bars being in the wrong positions.
